The 2018 Vans U.S. Open of Surfing comes to Surf City for nine days starting on Saturday. Huntington Beach’s iconic pier will again be ground zero for one of the surfing world’s most important events, and as many as a half million people are expected to attend.

But it won’t just be surfriding. Also scheduled are competitions in skateboarding competition, BMX events, movies, guitar lessons and more.

A schedule of events is posted here: http://www.vansusopenofsurfing.com/2018/schedule. However, starting on Monday, the commissioner of the World Surfing League will set the final schedule based on conditions for that sport that day.
