Cellular telephone store hit by robbers

A CELLULAR telephone store in Garden Grove was robbed Friday afternoon.

Two suspects using a pair of scissors to threaten an employee robbed a cellular phone store Friday afternoon in Garden Grove.

According to Sgt. Royce Wimmer of the GGPD, the incident took place around 2:40 p.m. at the T-Mobile store at 13842 Brookhurst St., north of Westminster Avenue.

Two people – a man and a woman – entered the building and began grabbing phones from a display rack. An employee approached the male suspect who brandished a pair of scissors at the worker. He then pushed the store employee and with his partner, fled the scene in a car westbound through the parking lot toward Brookhurst.

The value of the loss was put at $3,360.

The suspects are described as:

  • a male black in his 20s, 6-feet, 4-inches tall, weighing 170 lbs. He was wearing a white sweater and black pants;
  • a female black in her 20s, 5-feet tall, weighing 150, wearing a black sweater and white shorts.
