Three fleet-footed teenagers pulled off a “grab-and-run” burglary Monday afternoon, escaping with $8000 worth of merchandise from a cell phone store in Garden Grove.
According to Lt. Carl Whitney of the GGPD, the youths hit the T-Mobile store at 12085 Brookhurst St. at 2:45 p.m. Witnesses say the trio entered the business, walked around for a few minutes, then began grabbing merchandise and racing out with cell phones and Apple watches.
They fled to a black Nissan Altima parked in the lot and were driven away by a Hispanic female in her 20s.
The suspects are described as:
• a male Hispanic, 18 to 20 years old, wearing a black tank top shirt, black shorts, white socks and black shoes. His black hair is short or shaven.
• a male Hispanic, about 14 to 16 years old, “fat” build, wearing a blue T-shirt, black and white striped shorts, white socks, white shoes with black and orange colored curly hair.
• a male Hispanic, about 16 to 18 years old, “fat” build, wearing a black T-shirt, blue shorts, white socks, white shoes and with black medium-length hair.
