
HUNTINGTON BEACH City Council on Monday will consider a wide variety of measures, including a crackdown on illegal businesses (Orange County Tribune photo).
Everything from airport noise to scooters will be on the agenda for Monday’s meeting of the Huntington Beach City Council.
Items to be considered by the council include:
- approving the hiring of a senior deputy city attorney to work on the investigation and prosecution of “illicit, unlicensed and/or nuisance” in-home businesses.
- the official creation of an airport noise commission.
- withdrawal of the city from the Public Cable Television Authority and transitioning to a city-run cable TV channel.
- second and final reading of an ordinance making “shared mobility” devices – such as scooters and bicycles – and businesses illegal.
The council will meet in its chambers at 2000 Main St. A study session is scheduled for 4 p.m. with the regular session at 6 p.m.
