Everything from airport noise to scooters will be on the agenda for Monday’s meeting of the Huntington Beach City Council.

Items to be considered by the council include:

  • approving the hiring of a senior deputy city attorney to work on the investigation  and prosecution of “illicit, unlicensed and/or nuisance” in-home businesses.
  • the official creation of an airport noise commission.
  • withdrawal of the city from the Public Cable Television Authority and transitioning to a city-run cable TV channel.
  • second and final reading of an ordinance making “shared mobility” devices – such as scooters and bicycles – and businesses illegal.

The council will meet in its chambers at 2000 Main St. A study session is scheduled for 4 p.m. with the regular session at 6 p.m.
