The Garden Grove Rotary Club invites the community to ring in the holidays by taking part in a special fundraising production of “The Holiday Gem” at the Gem Theater, 12852 Main St., Garden Grove on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m.

All proceeds from this special showing will benefit local Rotarian projects, thanks to the generosity of One More Productions’ Damien Lorton and Nicole Cassesso.

“The Holiday Gem” is a light-hearted revue, starting with a tour of “Christmas Fantasy Land,” featuring well-known standards and contemporary holiday classics. The second act takes place in a Victorian London from Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

Proceeds will be dedicated to local Garden Grove Rotarian projects such as elementary and high school scholarship programs, placement of cardiac defibrillators in public places, an annual Christmas toy drive for disadvantaged children and provision of food, clothing and hygiene supplies for families and children in need. Also, funds will be used to support the worldwide Rotary End Polio Now campaign.

A special reception will be held at 7 p.m., including complementary appetizers, wine, water and soft drinks. Tickets can be purchased for $50 each by contacting Scott Weimer at scott@weimerandassociates.com or by telephone at (714) 534-0992.
