Inquiry continues into bicyclist’s death

THE INVESTIGATION into the fatal collision of a Jeep and a bicycle on Nov. 18 Huntington Beach is continuing.

The investigation into the car vs. bicycle collision earlier this month in Huntington Beach is continuing. A 78-year-old man injured while riding his bike in the area of Edwards Street and Central Park Drive on the morning of Nov. 18 died on Nov.  21 at UCI Medical Center in Orange.

According to Motor Sgt. Eric Warken of the HBPD the incident involved the Huntington Beach bicyclist and a black 2017 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 28-year-old woman from Huntington Beach. The bicycle was moving east in the intersection and the vehicle was traveling north at the time of the collision.

The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
