Planners discuss billboard and karaoke

GARDEN GROVE and Westminster planning commissions will meet this week. Stanton’s meeting is cancelled.

Two local planning commissions will be holding meetings this week, and a third meeting has been cancelled.

In Garden Grove, the panel will consider a request to allow for the reconstruction and expansion of a freeway-facing billboard on Trask Avenue west of Brookhurst Street for the Toyota Place auto dealership.

If approved the digital display area would increase from 298.47 square feet to 477 square feet.

The commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the council chambers in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave, on Thursday, Dec. 6.

In Westminster, the top item on the agenda will be a request for a conditional use permit to establish a karaoke business in a 3,949-square foot tenant space at 9822 Bolsa Ave., Suite A.

The commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the council chamber at 8200 Westminster Blvd. on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

The Stanton City Council meeting originally scheduled for Dec. 5 has been cancelled. The next meeting is set for Wednesday, Dec. 19.
