FELIX AVILA was named the state’s Adminstrator of the Year in personnel/human resources for education. He works for the Ocean View School District (OVSD).

Felix Avila, assistant superintendent of Human Resources for the Ocean View School District, has been chosen as 2019 Personnel/Human Resources Administrator of the Year by the Association of California School Administrators.

“I am humbled and honored by this recognition and want to give credit to my HR team for the support they provide our employees, association partners and the Ocean View educational community,” he said.

Avila has served in his current post since 2014. In 2018, he was honored as its Negotiator of the Year.

OVSD is a K-8 district serving northern Huntington Beach and portions of Fountain Valley, Westminster and Midway City.
