Orangewood Academy of Garden Grove slammed Samueli Academy 18-2 in an Academy League softball game Thursday afternoon.
Alexis Campos starred for the Spartans as both a pitcher and as a batter. She pitched a complete five-inning game, giving up just one hit and no earned runs. She struck out 10 batters and walked one.
At bat, she went 2-for-3 with two home runs for a total of five RBIs. She scored three runs. Madison Brown had a double and a triple and scored three runs and knocked in three more.
The Spartans are now 7-3 overall and 7-1 in league play, one game behind The Webb Schools. Samueli is now 0-14 and 0-7.
