2019-20 city budget goes to council

THE STANTON CITY COUNCIL will meet on Tuesday to consider the 2019-2020 budget (File photo).

The annual budget for the City of Stanton and its housing agency will top the budget of Tuesday’s meeting of the City Council.

The 2019-2020 budget for all funds includes $35.4 in revenues, $28.1 million in appropriations and a capital budget of $20.7 for the coming fiscal year, beginning on July 1.

That budget is balanced with $22.6 in revenues (taxes), $22.6 million in appropriations (expenditures) and $304,00 in net transfers from the general fund.

Also on the agenda is approval of an agreement with Trauma Intervention Programs, Inc. to provide counseling and support to victims of traumatic incidents such as a death in the family, witnessed violence and family violence.

The council will meet in its chambers in City Hall at 7800 Katella Ave. at 6:30 p.m.
