An 82-year-old Westminster man was fatally injured in a traffic collision Wednesday night in Huntington Beach.

According to Motor Sgt. Eric Warken of the HBPD, the crash occurred around 7 p.m. in the area of Edinger Avenue and Graham Street. Arriving officers found a white 2009 Toyota Tacoma truck with damage to the front end. The driver was found in the vehicle and was “unresponsive.” He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he succumbed to his injuries.

He had not been wearing his seat belt.

A second vehicle was found, a gold 2006 Toyota Corolla. It had major damage to the rear left passenger door and quarter panel. The driver, a 32-year-old woman from Huntington Beach, was seated in her car and complained of pain.

Police believe the Tacoma was traveling west through the intersection, as the Corolla was moving south when the vehicles collided.
