A vegetation fire near the Central Park area was extinguished by Huntington Beach firefighters Sunday afternoon.
According to the HBFD, the blaze was between Goldenwest Street and Edwards Street, near Talbert Avenue. Three engine companies and two trucks responded to the scene around 2 p.m, and had the fire under control after about 20 minutes.
Crews are remaining on the scene to make certain no hot spots flare up, and investigators will seek to determine the case of the fire. No structures were damaged and there were no injuries.
