SECOND UPDATE: According to Capt. Thanh Nguyen of the Garden Grove Fire Department, 42 firefighters from the GGFD and the Orange County Fire Authority took part in fighting the blaze. The fire damage was confined to four units and the roof.
The value of the damage to the structure has been estimated at $300,000 and $100,000 to contents. The entire building has been “red-tagged” and it not considerable habitable until further notice.

UPDATE: The fire on Brookhurst Street has been extinguished. The GGFD knocked down the fire after about 40 minutes and there were no injuries. Affected was a two-story office building.
Garden Grove firefighters are battling a blaze at a commercial building Sunday afternoon.
According to the GGFD, the fire was in the 14000 block of Brookhurst Street, and was reported by police at 1:54 p.m. It’s a second alarm blaze, which means a doubling of the fire department response.
The fire was south of Westminster Avenue on the east side of the street.
