An expansion of the “campus” for St. Columban Catholic Church will go before the Garden Grove Planning Commission when it meets on July 18.

The church, located at 10801 Stanford Ave., is asking for approval of a site plan to convert two existing single family homes – located on a 21,760-square foot lot across Nelson Street – into 3,007 square feet of additional office and meeting space.

Also on that night, planners will consider requests for a site plan and variance to allow for the construction of a 7,140-square foot  addition to an existing two-story 29,736-square foot medical office building at 9191 Westminster Ave. (at Atlantis Way). The variance would be to permit the addition of a third floor.

The commission meets in the council chamber in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave., at 7 p.m.
