A MAN was fatally shot in the area of Westminster Avenue in Garden Grove Sunday afternoon (Shutterstock).

Police in Garden Grove are investigating the shooting death of a man Sunday afternoon.

According to Lt. Ray Bex of the GGPD, the incident took place in the 9600 block of Westminster Avenue (west of Brookhurst Street) at about 12:45 p.m.

A report of “possible gunshots” and a man bleeding brought officers, who found a man’s body in the rear yard of a home,  dead from gunshot wounds.

He was described only as a male Asian; his identity was not immediately known.

GGPD detectives are handling the investigation. Details about the name of the victim, his relation to the home and any potential suspect information were not available.
