HB man arrested in Fullerton murder

A 51-year-old Huntington Beach man was arrested Wednesday night for the stabbing murder of Cal State Fullerton worker Steven Shek Keung Chan, 57.

Chan was found in the parking lot of the campus early Monday morning , but despite life-saving measures, died of his wounds at the scene.

The suspect arrested in the case was identified Thursday by Fullerton police as Chuyen Vo. The victim and suspect both worked at the university. Vo was arrested at his Huntington Beach home at 10:16 p.m by FPD detectives.

“Beyond being co-workers, we can offer no further information regarding the specific employment status of either of them,” said Fullerton Police Chief Robert Dunn at a press conference on Thursday.

On Tuesday, several news reports said Chan was a former administrator at CSUF, and was a resident of Hacienda Heights. The reports said Chan was on campus as a consultant.
