Two public workshops are scheduled for getting input on how federal funds should be used locally in Garden Grove for community development, housing and infrastructure projects.
The meetings are set for Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Bolsa Grande High School cafeteria, 9401 Westminster Ave., and on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.,
An online survey can be used at ggcity.org/neighborhood-improvement until Jan. 17, 2020. It will be available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

Choose the right car seat for a child
The Huntington Beach Police Department is joining other agencies, public health departments and community organizations in seeking to raise awareness about how to keep children safe by providing them with the right car seat for their age and size.
It coincides with Child Passenger Safety Week, which is from Sept. 15-21.
According to the National Highway Traffiic Safety Administration, 46 percent of car seats are not used properly.
