Fire displaces apartment bldg. residents

A fire Tuesday night at an apartment complex struck 10 or more units and displaced up to 50 people in Huntington Beach.

According to the HBFD, the blaze took place shortly after 6 p.m. at the Huntington Vista apartments, 21551 Brookhurst St., south of Hamilton Avenue in the southeast corner of the city.

One person was evaluated at the scene by paramedics and released at the scene.

The American Red Cross set up a care center and shelter for displaced persons at Edison Community Center, 21377 Magnolia.
