Pedestrian, 69, killed on Goldenwest St.

A PEDESTRIAN died in Huntington Beach Tuesday evening after being struck by a car (Shutterstock).

A Huntington Beach man died Tuesday night after being struck by a car while walking in the area of Goldenwest Street and Tucana Drive between Warner and Slater avenues.

According to Motor Sgt. Eric Warken, the incident took place around 7:27 p.m. Arriving officers found the pedestrian, a 69-year-old man, lying in the roadway. He had suffered major injuries and was dead at the scene.

A grey 2014 Ford Mustang was also there. The vehicle had sustained damage to the front end. The driver, a 62-year-old man who is resident of Huntington Beach, was uninjured and remained at the scene.
