A suspect has been arrested in a homicide attempt from last week in Garden Grove.
According to Lt. Carl Whitney of the GGPD, Oscar Domingo Rodriguez, 23, of Anaheim is being charged in connection with the incident, which may have been a consequence of a “love triangle.”
The shooting took place on Jan. 23 in the 13400 block of Blackbird Street. The gunshot victim, a 25-year-old Garden Grove man, was hospitalized in critical condition but is now expected to survive.
One day after the shooting, GGPD detectives were able to identify a suspect vehicle, which led to a suspect. He worked at a warehouse in Orange and was arrested without incident.
“Oscar Rodriguez was interviewed by detectives and learned a possible motive for the shooting was a love triangle between the victim, the suspect and a woman,” according to Lt. Whitney. Rodriguez was booked at Orange County Jail in Orange.
