Three persons suffered minor injuries early Thursday morning in a collision between a minivan and an Orange County Transit Authority bus in Garden Grove.
According to Sgt. Josh Olivio of the GGPD, the incident took place in the area of Harbor Boulevard and Cardinal Circle, near the OCTA bus yard, at about 5:55 a.m. There were no passengers on the bus.
The OCTA bus was making a left turn from Cardinal to proceed north on Harbor when it collided with the minivan, which was traveling northbound on Harbor.
Police believe the minivan ran the red light, which resulted in the crash. Only the OCTA driver was in the bus, and he suffered minor injuries. He was treated at the scene. The two people in the minivan also had minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. An investigation is being conducted by the GGPD Neighborhood Traffic Unit.
