Followups will be featured at Tuesday’s meetings of the Garden Grove City Council.
In a special meeting to be held at 5 p.m., the council will hear an update on the Orange County Fire Authority and CARE Ambulance deployment response times.
At the last meeting of the council, Councilmember George Brietigam (District 1/West Grove) complained that ambulances dedicated to Garden Grove were sometimes sent outside city limits.
At the 6:30 p.m. regular meeting, the council will take up a written request from several organizations – including the Vietnamese American Federation of Southern California – to organize a Tet parade, concert and float display celebration in Garden Grove on Feb. 13, 2021.
That’s the group that held the city’s first Tet parade last month as an alternative to a similar event in Westminster. Garden Grove Councilmember Phat Bui (District 4) is leader of the VAFSC and was heavily involved in getting the Garden Grove parade organized.
The city council meets at 6:30 p.m. in its chambers in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
