A sterling performance by Jakob Silfverberg on Sunday against the Minnesota Wild wasn’t quite enough to lift up the Anaheim Ducks to a win at Honda Center.
Silfverberg scored two goals and added an assist as the Orange County team fell 5-4 in overtime.
Ryan Miller had 25 saves in goal and Rickard Rakell had three assists as Anaheim’s record went to 28-32-9, good for 65 points and sixth place in the NHL Pacific Division.
Sunday’s loss put the team’s March record at 2-3, and snapping a two-game winning streak that involved victories over Colorado and Toronto.
Looking forward, the Ducks continue their home stand with a game Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators and then Wednesday against the St. Louis Blues.
