Three teenagers were arrested Friday morning after a chase that started on Harbor Boulevard, moved to the Garden Grove Freeway and finally concluded after a crash at an onramp to the San Diego (405) Freeway in Long Beach.
According to Sgt. Jeff Brown of the GGPD, the incident started around 10:36 a.m. in the area of Hazard Avenue and Harbor Boulevard. A GGPD officer spotted a vehicle which had been reported stolen traveling southbound on Harbor Boulevard.
A vehicle stop was attempted, but the driver sped the car away and the chase moved to the Garden Grove (22) Freeway. During the pursuit, according to police, two passengers in the back seat of the suspect vehicle threw a spare tire, a tire jack and a knife out of the vehicle in the direction of the pursuing officers.
The car being chased exited the freeway onto 7th Street in Long Beach until it crashed after an apparent attempt to drive the wrong way north onto an off-ramp at Bellflower Street.
Three suspects fled the scene on foot but were later apprehended. Arrested were:

- A male juvenile, 16, of Garden Grove.
