Four more deaths from the coronavirus were revealed on Saturday, bringing the toll of fatalities from COVID-19 in Orange County to 32, according to the Orange County Health Care Agency.
The OCHCA also counted 63 new cases, bringing the cumulative total to 1,556 since the tally began in February. Saturday’s total of new cases are down from 75 on Friday.
One hundred fifty-five people are now hospitalized, with 59 cases in intensive care units.
The case count by cities shows these cities as the leaders in most confirmed infections.

- Irvine 116
- Huntington Beach 112
- Newport Beach 87.
In the coverage area of The Tribune, after Huntington Beach, Garden Grove is next with 59 cases followed by Westminster with 22 and Stanton with 10.
Worldwide, the total of confirmed cases hit 2,317,759, according to the count compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
The United States still has the most – 732,197 – followed by Spain with 191,726, Italy with 175,925, France with 149,149 and Germany with 143,342.
Total deaths worldwide is now 159,510, with the U.S. showing 38,928 fatalities. Following are Italy (23,227), Spain (20,043), France (19,323) and the United Kingdom/Great Britain (15,464).
Of the U.S. total, 13,202 of the deaths are in the New York City area.
