3 more deaths and 34 new cases

Three new deaths from the coronavirus were reported by the Orange County Health Care Agency on Tuesday, bringing the total to 42 to date.

The number of new cases was 34, a drop from Monday’s tally of 54. The cumulative total is now at 2,151 confirmed cases.

A total of 1,390 new tests were reported on Tuesday’s count, bringing the county’s grand total to 27,737.

One hundred seventy-eight COVID-19 cases in Orange County are now hospitalized, with 74 in intensive care units.

On a city-by-city basis, Santa Ana leads in the number of confirmed cases with 313, followed by Anaheim with 291, Huntington Beach with 198, Irvine with 127 and Newport Beach with 96.

In The Tribune’s coverage area, after Huntington Beach is Garden Grove with 90 cases, then Westminster with 36 and Stanton with 20.
