The highest number of new confirmed coronavirus cases since counting began was reported on Thursday by the Orange County Health Care Agency. One hundred forty-five new cases tops the previous high of 120 and compares to Wednesday’s tally of 106 new cases.
One hundred ninety cases are now hospitalized in the county, with 63 in intensive care units.
In Thursday’s report, it was noted that 1,594 tests were recorded, and the cumulative total of 31,534 for the OC.
Counting by city has Santa Ana leading with 366 cases, followed by Anaheim (346), Huntington Beach (223), Irvine (130) and Garden Grove (109). Local cities Westminster and Stanton have 43 and 27 cases, respectively.
