Three more deaths and 146 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus were reported Saturday by the Orange County Health Care Agency. The number of cases was the third-highest since the count began, and compares to Friday’s figure of 150.
That brings the total number of deaths from COVID-19 to 74, and the total number of confirmed cases to 3,380. Of those who died, 17 were residents at skilled nursing facilities.
In Saturday’s update, the total number of persons hospitalized is 218, with 87 in intensive care units.
In the city-by-city counts, Anaheim leads with 504 confirmed cases, with Santa Ana next with 499. That latter number includes some at Orange County Jail. Huntington Beach has 245 and Garden Grove 175, with Orange at 168.
Local cities Westminster and Stanton have 55 and 34, respectively.
