108 new coronavirus cases, 6 deaths

NEW CORONAVIRUS cases in Orange County were reported at 108 on Friday (Shutterstock).

Six new deaths and 108 new confirmed coronavirus cases are in Friday’s report from the Orange County Health Care Agency.

The report by the OCHCA shows the total number of fatalities now at 118, of which 45 are from skilled nursing facilities. The total of cases is at 4,941, of which 559 are skilled nursing facilities and 365 are Orange County jail inmates.

Two hundred-thirty people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, of which 95 are in intensive care units.

There are 1,052 new reported tests, bringing that total to 93,906.

On a city-by-city basis, Santa Ana remains the city with the most cases with 885, followed by Anaheim with 770. Huntington Beach is next with 310, followed by Garden Grove at 252 and Orange with 233.

Case counts in Santa Ana and Orange include inmates at county jails in those cities.

Local cities Westminster and Stanton have totals at 87 and 56 cases respectively.
