As the State of California moves through Stage 2 of the “Resilience Roadmap,” aimed at gradually reopening businesses, the City of Westminster will reopen the corporation yard, city hall, police department, and community services with modified hours of operation and procedures for visiting.

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2020, the corporation yard located at 14381 Olive St. will open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visitors to the Corporation Yard are required to wear face coverings and will only be allowed to enter the lobby one at a time. Social distancing markers will be placed along the outside for those waiting to enter. To contact the corporation yard for additional information regarding services, call (714) 895-2876.

City hall and community services and recreation will open Monday through Thursday beginning June 1 from 8 a.m. to noon for walk-in visits, and 1 to 5 p.m. by appointment only. Visitors are required to wear face coverings and will be greeted by staff at a check-in station prior to entering the building or receiving services.

To ensure staff availability and reduce wait times, appointments are advised for the following services:

  • Planning Division and Business Licenses – (714) 548-3247
  • Building Division – (714) 548-3254
  • Engineering Division – (714) 548-3243

To contact city hall for general information or for services not listed, call (714) 898-3311. For community services and recreation, call (714) 895-2860.

The police department lobby will be open beginning June 1, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon for walk-in visits. From 1 to 5 p.m. or for after-hour access to the police department, visitors can use the intercom system located to the left of the front doors. To contact the police department front desk for non-emergency inquiries, call (714) 898-3315.

A limited number of cloth face coverings will be available at open city facilities for anyone who does not have one. Cloth face coverings were acquired through Mayor Tri Ta and The United States Conference of Mayors in partnership with Bella+Canvas.

Although water billing services will be available in-person at the corporation yard and City Hall, account holders are strongly encouraged to continue paying water bills online or by calling (855) 288-5234 to make an automated telephone payment.

The senior center and park facilities remain closed to the public until further notice.
