Twelve new deaths from coronavirus were reported in Saturday’s tally by the Orange County Health Care Agency of COV)D-19 statistics.
The 12 deaths brought the OC’s total to 130, which includes 52 at skilled nursing facilities.
Cases in Saturday’s report included 216 new incidents and a cumulative total of 5,157, Of those, 574 were at skilled nursing facilities and 365 inmates of Orange Count jails.
A total of 249 cases are hospitalized with 101 in intensive care units.
The latest daily tally of tests showed 1,033, with the cumulative total at 97,470.
City-by-city totals show Santa Ana leading with 938, followed by Anaheim with 820, Huntington Beach (318), Garden Grove (265) and Orange (244).
Local cities Westminster and Stanton show counts of 93 and 59, respectively.
At the international level, Johns Hopkins University showed the total worldwide coronavirus cases at 5,270,244, led by the United States with 1,612,786 cases, followed by Russia with 335,882, Brazil with 330,890, United Kingdom with 258,504 and Spain with 235,920.
Global deaths are now at 340,116, led by the U.S. with 96,582, the U.K. with 36.757, Italy with 32,757 and Spain with 28,678 and France with 28,218.
