MISSING the Strawberry Festival? The 1988 parade (not the one pictured above) will be televised on Channel 3 in Garden Grove (OC Tribune photo).

If you’re one of the parade fans who can’t bear the thought of missing the annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival parade, there’s help available.

Garden Grove Television  3 will be airing a blast from the past, the 1988 festival parade. It will feature a retrospective of the previous 30 years of the festival and procession.

Sunday showings will be at noon and 1:30 p.m. and Monday (Memorial Day) at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

In related news, the Strawberry Festival Association has announced the winners of $8000 in scholarships to seniors graduating this year from the eight high schools in the Garden Grove Unified School District.

The winners of the $1000 scholarships are: 

• Amber Esqueda, Bolsa Grande.
• Baylee Kaylor, Santiago.
• Breanna Diggs, Hare.
• Caleb Huang, Pacifica.
• Fatima Zeferino, Los Amigos.
• Howard Trinh, Garden Grove.
• Jenny Lu, Rancho Alamitos.
• Lauryn Magga, La Quinta.
