Report: 110 more coronavirus cases

The number of confirmed new coronavirus cases in Orange County was reported Tuesday at 110, bringing the cumulative number to 5,578.

That latter total includes 574 residents of skilled nursing facilities and 366 inmates of Orange County jail facilities, according to the Orange County Health Agency.

No deaths were reported. It was the fifth consecutive day of new cases of 100 or more. The seven-day average is 142 cases.

Seven-hundred ninety-five tests were counted in Tuesday’s report, bringing the total at 105,138.

There are 269 coronavirus cases hospitalized, with 106 in intensive care units.

The OCHCA posted a new statistic Tuesday, reporting that 1,995 people had recovered from the COVID-19.

The city-by-city case count now shows Santa Ana the leader with 1,032, followed by Anaheim with 904, then Huntington Beach with 329, Garden Grove with 286 and Orange with 258.

Other local cities include Westminster and Stanton with 108 and 68 cases, respectively.
