Fire takes lives of two dogs

A HOUSE fire in the 13000 block of Nina Place in Garden Grove took the lives of two dogs. A third dog and two people in the house survived (OCFA photo).

Two dogs died and one survived a house fire in Garden Grove on Monday morning.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the blaze was in the 13000 block of Nina Place, which is south of Garden Grove Boulevard and east of 9th Street.

Two people living in the house were evacuated and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Although two dogs perished, a third was rescued and is being treated at a local animal hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
