Cypress fire does $350k damage

According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the blaze was at a home in the 8000 block of Acacia Drive. That’s near Crescent Avenue, east of Coyote Creek.

One resident escaped the fire and had no injuries. It took 26 minutes for firefighters to get it under control. The damage to the structure is estimated at $250,000 and $100,000 to contents.

The cause is believed to be accidental, related to an “unspecified event in or around the ventilation van.”
