NEW CORONAVIRUS cases in Orange County dropped for the fourth consecutive day.

The lowest total in five days of new coronavirus cases – 595  –was reported to the Orange County Health Care today (Saturday).

That number was the fourth straight day of declining tallies. The new cumulative sum of cases reported to the OCHCA is now 33,953, of which 18,8737 are considered recovered.

Six deaths were also reported; that to-date total is now 562.

Currently, 685 cases are in hospitals, with two hundred and three in intensive care units.

The test-positivity rate – a measure of what percentage of people tested for COVID-19 are infected – is at 12.7. That’s up slightly from 12.6.

• Santa Ana: 6,355 (143).
• Anaheim: 5,775 (140).
• Garden Grove: 1,792 (18).
• Huntington Beach: 1,609 (45).
• Orange: 1,574 (21).

Westminster has 626 cases with 16 deaths; Stanton has 399 cases with five deaths.
