For the seventh consecutive day, the report of COVID-19 cases received by the Orange County Health Care Agency showed a decline on Tuesday.
According to the OCHCA, the latest tally is 187, down from Monday’s 273. The new cumulative total of coronavirus cases is now at 34,833, of which 21,066 are considered to be recovered.
Fifteen new deaths were reported, with the to-date total now at 581.
The test-positivity statistic – which shows what percentage of people testing for the virus actually were infected regardless of whether they showed a symptom – is now 11.1, down from Monday’s 11.7. The goal is 8 percent.
The tally of cases hospitalized is at 640, of which 203 are in intensive care units.

- Santa Ana: 6,570 (147).
- Anaheim: 5,954 (146).
- Garden Grove: 1,856 (19).
- Huntington Beach: 1,643 (45).
- Orange: 1,613 (23).
Westminster had 644 cases and 16 deaths; Stanton has 409 cases and five deaths.
