NEW CORONAVIRUS cases in Orange County were reported Thursday at 506. (Flickr).

The number of new coronavirus cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Agency on Thursday reached 506, an increase from Wednesday’s figure of 439. The total of cases reported to OCHCA is now 35,778.

Seventeen more deaths were also reported Thursday, bringing that total to 604.

Five hundred ninety two cases are currently hospitalized, with 189 in intensive care units.

The test-positivity percentage – which shows what portion of people tested for the virus actually were infected regardless of symptoms – increased from 11.0 on Wednesday to 11.7 in Thursday’s report.

Here is a list of OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

• Santa Ana: 6,755 (157).
• Anaheim: 6,115 (149).
• Garden Grove: 1,899 (22).
• Huntington Beach: 1,660 (45).
• Orange: 1,646 (25).

Westminster has 656 cases and 17 deaths; Stanton has 415 cases and five deaths.
