
APPLE fire in Riverside County is being fought also by units from Orange County (Anaheim Fire and Rescue photo).
Firefighters from Orange County firefighting agencies have been deployed to help fight the Apple fire in Oak Glen in Riverside County.
Anaheim Fire and Rescue and Orange County Fire Authority – which provides fire and paramedic service to Garden Grove, Stanton and Westminster and other cities – are among other organizations lending assistance to fight the blaze.
Anaheim sent mutual aid in the form of five pieces of equipment along with a battalion chief to fight the blaze, which exceeds 700 acres.
OCFA sent a strike team of five engines and a strike team leader to assist Cal Fire and Riverside County firefighters. Additionally, the agency dispatched a “hand crew” of wild land firefighters to assist.
