Tuesday’s tally of new COVID-19 cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Agency is 1,051. There were 10 deaths. The new to-date total for Orange County cases is 41,578, of which 31,445 are considered recovered. The death total is now 734.
The test positivity figure is at 8.3 percent, up from Monday’s 7.4. That number indicates what portion of those tested positive for the infection regardless of whether they have symptoms. Eight percent is the threshold, or goal.
Here is a list of the OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.
- Santa Ana: 8,062 (192).
- Anaheim: 7,093 (174).
- Garden Grove: 2,261 (32).
- Orange: 1,896 (26).
- Huntington Beach: 1,843 (52).
Westminster has 751 cases and 19 deaths; Stanton had 505 cases and seven deaths.
