Monday’s corona sum is at 216

“TEST POSITIVITY” is moving in the right direction in Orange County, according to the OCHCA (Shutterstock).

Monday’s total of new COVID-19 cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Agency is 216, continuing an encouraging trend. Sunday was at 342 and 513 on Saturday.

There were no deaths reported Monday and just one on Sunday. The new to-date total cases for Orange County is 43,925, of which 34,909 are considered recovered. The death total is at 810.

The test positivity rate is 6.8 percent, down from 6.9 percent on Sunday and still within the goal of 8 percent. “Positivity” relates to that portion of people who are tested and end up positive for the coronavirus, regardless of symptoms.

Here is a list of OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 8,568 (208).
  • Anaheim: 7,516 (188).
  • Garden Grove: 2,386 (40).
  • Orange: 2,019 (34).
  • Huntington Beach: 1,943 (56).

Westminster has 821 cases and 21 deaths; Stanton has 545 cases and eight deaths.
