Arrest in stabbing of HB woman

HUNTINGTON BEACH police have arrested a man in connection with the stabbing death of his girlfriend (Shutterstock).

Huntington Beach police on Friday arrested a 34-year-old man on a charge of murdering his 25-year-old girlfriend.

According to the HBPD, the body of the victim – Laura Sardinha – was found on Wednesday afternoon at a home in the 8400 block of Jenny Drive.

She had been fatally stabbed with a knife, according to the Orange County Coroner’s office.

After investigation, police took Craig Charron into custody around 10 a.m. on Friday. He’s being held in lieu of $10 million bail.

Authorities were alerted to the incident around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday when they received a report of an assault in progress. They found Sardinha’s body, and Charron had suffered an injury that required him being taken to an area hospital for medical treatment.

 WPD bust nets over $250,000 in cash

Westminster Police Department detectives teamed up with patrol officers last Tuesday to follow up on a LoJack “hit” regarding a stolen vehicle. The detectives located the stripped BMW M3 in an open garage in the 7800 block of 14th Street in Westminster.

A search warrant was obtained and served resulting in the confiscation of three illegal guns, over $250,000 in U.S. currency and recoveread Employment Development Department funds and illegal narcotics.

A total of five suspects were arrested.

Fatal shooting at Anaheim hotel

A 20-year-old Anaheim man was fatally shot Saturday afternoon. His body was found outside the Candlewood Suites, 1733 S. Anaheim Blvd. in Anaheim.

Police say he had been shot at least once, and was taken to a local hospital where he died.

He was later identified as Rodolfo Alfredo Miranda.

The APD is asking anyone with information on the shooting to call (714) 765-1900.
