Applications are now being taken by the Westminster School District for a provisional appointment to fill a vacancy on the district’s Board of Trustees.

The open spot was created when former trustee Xavier Nguyen resigned after being charged with perjury and filing fraudulent nomination papers.

This vacancy is in Area 2, generally located in the central part of the district. The term of office would be from October 2020 to December 2022.

To qualify to be considered, candidates must registered voters who live in Area 2 and submit their applications by 4 p.m. on Sept. 28.

Interested persons should provide written notification of interest in writing and provide their names, addresses and confirm they are 18 years of age or older and not disqualified from holding a civil office.
