Help H.O.P.E. help, with donations

DONATIONS are needed by the H.O.P.E. organization in Garden Grove which feeds and helps the needy (Shutterstock).

Can you spare $5 or $10 this month to help local families in need? Every dollar donated will be matched up to $5,000.

Imagine being on the fringe of homelessness with your children or being a single mother of three young children trying to figure out how to feed them? Where would you turn?

Luckily, there is H.O.P.E., Helping Others Prepare for Eternity, a charity based in Garden Grove. It’s a “One-Stop Safety Net Center” providing swift access to critical services and resources, striving to alleviate food insecurity and homelessness throughout Orange County by providing access to a myriad of Safety Net services to abandoned and abused women and children from disadvantaged families and they are in urgent need, especially now, during this time of COVID.

Monthly, since March, H.O.P.E have helped approximately 2,000 individuals while giving away 10-15 tons of food. That’s12,000 individuals in need, just in the last six months.

The numbers are staggering and the need is great. H.O.P.E. has been a staple in the Garden Grove community for 23 years, and they offer services for kids and their moms from mentoring to tutoring to music classes to basic services, plus helping women succeed in life.

They are a small organization and they can’t do this alone, they need your help.
