A woman who fell off her bicycle in Huntington Beach Saturday has died from her injuries.

According to Motor Sgt. Matthew Austin of the HBPD, the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 on Warner Avenue west of Sceptre Lane.

Arriving officers found a bicycle in the eastbound lanes of Warner and the rider on roadway near the bike. The victim has been identified as a 50-year-old woman from Placentia.

Police believe that she was riding eastbound on Warner when – for unknown reasons – she made a left turn into lanes of travel and fell to the pavement. ‘The rider suffered injuries consistent with falling from a bicycle,” according to Sgt. Austin.

She was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange. On Monday, the Orange County Coroner notified the HBPD the woman died at the hospital.
