New COVID-19 cases see drop

THURSDAY’S report on new coroanvirus cases in Orange County showed the number of new cases at 213, down from 262 (Shutterstock).

New cases of coronavirus declined in Thursday’s report by the Orange County Health Care Agency. The count was 213, down from Wednesday’s 262.

However, the number of deaths is again at 11.

The tally of cases hospitalized is at 168, down from Wednesday’s count of 174. Fifty-six are in intensive care units, compared to 66 the day before.

Here is the list of the Orange County cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 11,168 (308)
  • Anaheim: 9,898 (313)
  • Garden Grove: 3,174 (103)
  • Orange: 2,691 (67)
  • Huntington Beach: 2,539 (85).

Westminster has 1,129 cases and 30 deaths. Stanton has 704 cases and 17 deaths.
