For 2nd day, cases, deaths fall

ORANGE COUNTY is showing decline in corona virus cases and deaths (Shutterstock).

New coronavirus cases and deaths showed declines for the second consecutive day on Monday in Orange County.

According to the county health care agency, today’s tally of new COVID-19 infections dropped from 247 on Sunday to 152 today. Deaths fell from three to zero.

However, the number of cases hospitalized on Monday is at 162, up from 150 on Sunday. Those in intensive care units with coronavirus rose from 55 to 59.

Total cases for the OC to date are 58,725. Total deaths are at 1,447.

Here is a list of the Orange County cities with the most coronavirus cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 11,340 (309)
  • Anaheim: 10,043 (314)
  • Garden Grove: 3,223 (104)
  • Orange: 2,733 (69)
  • Huntington Beach: 2,572 (85).

Westminster has 1,145 cases and 30 deaths. Stanton has 715 cases and 17 deaths.
