New cases show another rise

New cases of coronavirus were up for the second straight day in Orange County, according to statistics released today by the county health care agency.

Saturday’s total was 322 cases, up from 309 on Friday. However, deaths declined from nine to three. Hospitalizations are at 199, an increase from Friday’s 177 and cases currently in intensive care units were at 72, the same as Friday.

To date, there have been 61,743 cases of COVID-19, of which 54,799 are considered recovered. There have been 1,506 deaths.

Here is a list of the OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 11,584  (319)
  • Anaheim: 10,562  (327)
  • Garden Grove: 3,406 (112)
  • Orange: 2,859  (72)
  • Huntington Beach: 2,706 (86).

Westminster has 1,219 cases and 31 deaths. Stanton has 739 cases and 17 deaths.
