New cases dip to 352, but …

The surge in new cases of coronavirus in Orange County continued in Tuesday’s report from the county health care agency.

According to the OCHCA, the latest tally of new infections was 352. That’s down from 380 the day before, but still part of the metric which dropped Orange County into the more restrictive “purple” tier earlier this week.

The death toll, however, was again zero. Hospitalized cases rose to 270 from Monday’s 257. Cases now in intensive care declined from 85 on Monday to 79 on Tuesday.

Here is the list of Orange County cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 12,547 (322)
  • Anaheim: 11,265 (330)
  • Garden Grove: 3,667 (112)
  • Fullerton: 3,200 (108)
  • Orange: 3,091 (72)
  • Huntington Beach: 2,899 (86)

Westminster has 1,335 cases and 31 deaths. Stanton has 775 cases and 16 deaths.
