New cases slide for 2nd day

The number of new coronavirus cases in Orange County in Sunday’s report from the county’s health care agency declined for the second consecutive day, but hospitalizations and intensive care use continues to rise.

According to the OCHCA, the tally of new COVID-19 cases slid from 806 on Saturday to 552 on Monday. The number of deaths declined from 11 to three.

However, hospitalizations connected to the coronavirus increased from 365 to 380 and cases in ICU went from 85 to 91.

Here is a list of the Orange County cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 13,349 (324)
  • Anaheim: 11,837 (338)
  • Garden Grove: 3,897 (115)
  • Fullerton: 3,361 (111)
  • Orange: 3,257 (72)
  • Huntington Beach: 3,030 (88)

Westminster has 1,436 cases and 31 deaths. Stanton has 813 cases and 18 deaths.
